The Mighty Orgasm and Other Famous Rivers

I'm very excited and totally nervous to finally share this video of a talk I gave back in the spring. I was fortunate enough to be invited to speak at the Whitehorse Pecha Kucha night on the theme of Spring Breakup. I thought to myself, what a perfect opportunity to reflect on what spring break up can teach us about letting our rivers flow. What does that even mean? My horoscope from the summer of 2015  gave me a little inspiration.

20 miles long the onyx river is the longest moving body of water on the continent of Antarctica. Most of the year it is frozen. It only flows for just 2-3 months in the summer. What is the equivalent of your Onyx? A potentially flowing part of your life that is often frozen. I’d love to see it heat up and thaw. I’d love to see it surging most of the time. Consider the following battle cry for 2015: “I am the Flow Master.”

So how's your river doing. Is she drip, drip, dripping or flowing fast and full? What myths, stories and history does your river have? Is she famous, is she fertile, how has she evolved over your lifetime?

Check out the video for my thoughts. I would love to hear yours in the comments below.
